Dr. Emily McMahan Skilled Alaska Audiologist –

Dr. Emily E. McMahan is an exceptional audiologist who loves helping her patients enhance the quality of their lives. While she assists with a wide range of Alaskan audiology needs, one major part of her practice is of tinnitus evaluation and management.

Dr. McMahan attended the University of Cincinnati where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2009. She furthered her professional education by obtaining her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University in Philadelphia in 2013. She completed her residency in Anchorage and has been applying her expertise to her patients in the Pacific Northwest for several years. Whether you need hearing testing, hearing aids, or assistance with managing tinnitus in your daily lives, Dr. McMahan is qualified to assist you!

She holds Board Certification in Audiology through the American Board of Audiology. 

Dr. McMahan loves the people and the beauty of Anchorage and is proud to call Alaska her home. Her hobbies include exploring Alaska, hiking, traveling, baking, spending time with her family and friends, and playing with her dogs. She serves as the President of Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue and Peak Missions International. She is also involved in community outreach events through Anchorage South Rotary and other organizations.

Dr. Nicolette Butler Skilled Alaska Audiologist –

Dr. Nicolette Butler joined the Alaska Hearing & Tinnitus Center team in Spring of 2017. She completed her Audiology Residency and has now joined the team as a full time provider. She is passionate about meeting the individual hearing needs of her patients. She loves using the latest in hearing technology to help patients communicate effective in their everyday lives. Dr. Butler attended Middle Tennessee State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2014. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with her Doctorate of Audiology in 2018. Dr. Butler enjoys drinking copious amounts of coffee, cooking, reading, and hiking with her husband and dogs. She lives in Anchorage with her husband, John, and their two dogs, Sol and Lucy.

She holds Board Certification in Audiology through the American Board of Audiology.

Megan Gustavson, Alaska Resident of Audiology –

Megan Gustavson is an Audiology Resident at AHTC. Megan enjoys working with her patients to incorporate new technology into their lives allowing them to hear their loved ones. She was born and raised in Michigan, this is her first time living someplace new and she is excited to be in Alaska! Megan moved here with her husband, Michael and their dog Mickey. Together they love to be outdoors, camping, hiking, biking or just simply taking Mickey for a walk. When winter is here, you will most likely find her indoors, doing yoga, making crafts or reading. She loves to be involved in the community and meeting new people. She is a dedicated church-goer and you will almost always see her with a smile on her face.
