Professionally Clean Your Hearing Aids

How We Can Professionally Clean Your Hearing Aids In Alaska

07/15/2021 | Hearing Aids, Patient Resources, Troubleshooting

Hearing aids, just like any investment, require a certain level of maintenance to ensure you are getting the most out of them.

As they sit directly inside your ears, earwax can accumulate in the hearing aid opening where the sound comes out.

Not only is it hygienic to clean your hearing aids, but it can significantly improve your device’s performance and sound quality.

When it comes to your hearing aids, you want to ensure you are going to an experienced audiologist who knows your hearing device’s ins and outs.

After caring for thousands of patients across the Alaska region, I have dealt with many different manufacturers and devices. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that a clean & check is the best thing to do to preserve your hearing aid’s condition for as long as possible.

What Is Included In A Clean And Check?

Using our expert equipment range, we take all hearing aids into our hearing aid lab in our office.

Following a thorough cleaning procedure, we vacuum and suction out your device to eliminate any stubborn wax or debris.

This includes cleaning and changing any wax traps, retention locks, tubing, or domes to help create a clearer sound and get your device back to brand new.

With hearing being a key indicator of your device’s performance, we then perform a listening check to confirm all ear-to-ear features are working.

If the clean & check reveals a manufacturer issue, our Audiology Assistant can contact the provider to discuss a quote and talk you through the options available, supporting you every step of the way.

Our Availability

At Alaska Hearing & Tinnitus Center, we strive our best to provide same-day service that requires no need for you to come into the office.

For a clean and check, we charge only $35.00 to non-patients, a marginally small investment to our award-winning service at Alaska Hearing & Tinnitus Center.

You can take advantage of our overnight shipping, which allows us to ship both to and from our office and return your devices promptly.

Should your hearing aid require extra assistance, we can facilitate a loaner hearing aid to ensure you never go without your piece of technology.
