As one of the first 15 providers in the United States qualified to provide Lenire tinnitus treatment, it’s wonderful to see how it’s making waves in the audiology world as a powerful and safe therapy methods for those struggling with tinnitus symptoms.
For those that don’t know, Lenire is an at-home treatment device that works to alleviate tinnitus symptoms with a scientifically proven combination of headphones playing sound therapy and a Tonguetip delivering gentle pulses on your tongue.
This combination might sound strange, but the numbers don’t lie— according to an exciting new peer-reviewed trial known as TENT-A3, Lenire is more effective than any other sound therapy treatment for alleviating tinnitus symptoms!
88.6% of participants in this trial would recommend Lenire for tinnitus treatment and as a practitioner offering Lenire to my patients, I highly recommend it too!
TENT-A3’s Findings
Published in Nature Communications, the Lenire clinical trial took place between March and October 2022 with 112 enrolled participants. The participants were given six weeks of sound-only stimulation before the bimodal treatment was introduced with tongue stimulation.
TENT-A3 demonstrated that Lenire’s tinnitus treatment is superior to sound-only tinnitus therapy for most of the participants with moderate to severe tinnitus symptoms.
70.5% of participants saw meaningful improvement after six weeks of treatment with Lenire, versus little to no improvement with just sound-only stimulation.
