Alaska Hearing & Tinnitus Center Wins 2021 Academy Scholar

07/02/2021 | News, Patient Resources

When Alaska Hearing & Tinnitus Center first opened its doors as an independent audiology clinic, our number one goal was to help others hear better.

Through many years of hard work and dedication, we have become recognized as a leading healthcare provider in the region.

At times, there have been long hours and days that felt like they would never end, but every day has been key to the success of our clinic, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Just recently, I had a nice surprise through my email, awarding me with a 2021 Academy Scholar and I’ve been excited to tell you about it since!

What Is An Academy Scholar?

An Academy Scholar is awarded to those who complete a total of 50 continuing education honors (5.0 CEUs) over a two-year period. After obtaining 10.10 CEUs throughout 2019 and 2020, I was eligible.

In the words of Alison Kemph Morrison, Continuing Education Committee Chair, “through your dedication to the field of audiology and your commitment to continued professional excellence, you achieved the status of a 2021 Academy Scholar.

My name, along with many others, will be displayed on the website, commending our hard efforts throughout the past two years.

Alongside awarding me for my dedication to the role, it has given me access to continue my growth through further studies.

Each year, it’s always a goal of mine to further my education so that I can continue to bring an award-winning service to my patients.

It’s a pleasure to have been awarded an Academy Scholar, and I thank all of my patients and colleagues for allowing this to happen.
